One of the largest Hindu festivals, the Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra 2023, will begin on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the well-known Jagannatha temple in Puri, Odisha, India. The Puri Yatra typically starts on the Dwitiya Tithi (second day) and Shukla Paksha (waxing phase of the Moon) in the Hindu month of Aashadha

During the festival, three deities (Jagannath, his brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra) are pulled in three massive, wooden chariots to Gundicha Temple whereby they reside there for a week and then return to the Jagnannath temple.
